At Rehoboth, we focus on sponsoring a house rather than an individual child. Because children may eventually be reunited with their families or find permanent homes. Sponsoring a house ensures your support provides a lasting sanctuary for whoever resides there. Each home hosts five children in a family-style environment. The total cost to support one child is 9200 ZAR per month, which is approximately 460 Euro or 500 USD. While the government provides a grant of 4000 ZAR per child, even with our self-sustainability projects, it does not cover the full cost of specialized care.
To provide a healthy and educational environment, we need to bridge a monthly gap of 5200 ZAR per child, which is roughly 260 Euro or 280 USD. With your monthly contribution we can (partly) cover essential needs like medication, nutritious food, and quality schooling. As a house sponsor, you will stay connected to the home through regular updates three times a year and our bi-monthly newsletter, allowing you to see the collective growth of the children you support.
